Error during launching SCCM Console. The RPC Server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)

A conversation between me and an administrator regarding SCCM connection error.

Me: Hi there, what’s up?
Admin: Not sure what happened with SCCM server, all administrator machines can’t connect to SCCM.
Me: Any policies applied through GPO recently?
Admin: Good question, I don’t know. Can you come and check?
Me: Ok but before that, can you send me the error screen shot?
Admin: Here you go.

launchconsoleerror (3)

Me: Can you verify that RPC and WMI services are running at SCCM server? Is Windows Firewall turned on or off?
Admin: Both RPC and WMI services are running. Windows Firewall turned On but still showing error.
Me: What about Exception tab in Windows Firewall? Is WMI, File and Printer Sharing, Remote Administration selected to allow incoming network connections?
Admin: Cool, problem resolved! All consoles able to connect to SCCM now.
Me: Good.
