How to edit or change Windows 8 Product Key
Had problem entering new Windows 8 product key and activating it with DNS error. Lookup and found we can change the product key the same way as how to change in Windows 7.
Solution:
- Run command prompt as Administrator
- Type ‘slmgr.vbs /ipk’ followed by your TechNet or MSDN product key.
slmgr.vbs /ipk SSSSS-TTTTT-UUUUU-VVVVV-WWWWW - Last step, will be activating the Windows after changing the key.
slmgr.vbs –ato
You’ll see a pop up message box once you have successfully activated the product.
